I don’t usually misread The Spark. In fact, I'm almost always spot on. I mean, how hard is it to figure out? He "winks" at you from across the … uhm, Website … and it turns out you're passionate about the same things, you've got that sexy, witty banter going, you both have cats to whom you have assigned quirky personalities that you're fond of explaining and elaborating on in front of complete strangers …
If it's true that, "What really matters is what you like, not what you are like," we were a virtual match made in heaven. We emailed every day for two hopeful weeks, and then … silence.
I tried to be the girl I know I want to be and suppress all my insecure "why haven’t you written, why don’t you want me?" urges. After the first week, my friends told me to chill out -- 7 days isn't long. After the second week, it became clearer and clearer that, in all likelihood, my spark had somehow been suffocated (by time, by lack of interest, by another girl -- the possibilities were endless … and maddeningly unknowable).
In the end, I closed the book by deciding that I don't want to be with someone who isn't considerate enough to let me know he's going to disappear for awhile once we've established a pattern of communication. Maybe it's a testament to my infamous love of bad boys, maybe something about him affected me or maybe I just need a self-esteem booster, but I can't help but wonder what I might have missed out on.

hey, i met a man online, he says I'm all that "sexy, great body, intelligent, humorous, beautiful...." BUT we only see each other once a week...we spend the evening, night and then I'm gone by 11am the next day due to him having something planned around noon....we live only 30 minutes away and he says he is so busy, but maybe we can see each other in the middle of the week...otherwise he works Mon-Fri and goes into the office Sunday afternoons.....am I being played? seems like f he was that Ga-GA over me we'd be seeing each other more often. We do spoend 4-6 days together on vacations (started Memorial day and July 4th with plans on Labor Day)...we've just started dating 1st of May....Leggins -- leggins
